Dear Haringey Over 50s Forum Members and Supporters,

HO50s ‘Painful Journeys’ Transport event

Our hospital transport meeting at Wood Green Library last month was attended by about 40 people. Speakers were: Catherine West MP for Hornsey & Wood Green, Pam Moffatt, former HO50s Chair, Helena Kania from Healthwatch Haringey and Rosie McKearney, Campaigns Manager from Age UK. We will be in touch with Catherine in the coming weeks to follow up some of the issues raised at the meeting by our members. We hope to hold more of this kind of event in the future. Please let us know what subjects and issues you want us to cover.

A courtesy note about subscriptions….

We really value your membership of the Haringey Over 50s Forum! That precious £5 per year is what enables us to hire meeting rooms, run socials, and send the newsletter to those who are not on email and need a real paper copy with a stamp and envelope. We hope you can afford that £5 and it would be even better if you could pay by standing order. If we had more money, we could do more as well. We don’t have any funding now except from our members.

We have over 100 people on the mailing list who still haven’t paid since the days when we were Haringey Older People’s Forum – as well as over 60 who have paid recently. If you’re in the first group, we really would appreciate a payment as soon as you can. You can make a standing order, write a cheque or pay cash at a meeting.
